SUSCC Graduate Ready to Work

Brian Samac, a recent RTW graduate from Southern Union State Community College, is currently awaiting a phone call to accept a temporary position, said RTW instructor Kristy Pulsifer. He is still seeking full-time permanent placement and volunteering at the Lee County Humane Society until he is able to further his education. Although he had a 3-day lapse in enrollment, Brian displayed the initiative to complete every task put before him and excelled utilizing his strong work ethic. He was an excellent student, said Pulsifer, and it was a pleasure working with him. Ready to Work Revitalized; set to debut October 2017

The Ready To Work Program (RTW) is gearing up for a new program year with re-vamped curriculum according to Shalyndrea Jones, Ready To Work Program Coordinator. The new curriculum will take on a more streamlined approach with updated content and modules that focus on various industries. The program makeover also includes a new logo and website. The updated Ready To Work program focus on meeting the current needs of Alabama’s businesses and industries. It also helps minimize costs of program implementation, as well as improve the overall accessibility of the program.  The Ready To Work Program is managed by the Alabama Community College System (ACCS) in partnership with AIDT.
